Dear Colleagues,
Please see below my blog post:
HOW HAS 2015 FARED FOR YOU?
The year 2015 has fared in the sense that with all the difficulties or problems, we still find a solution.
WHAT HAVE YOU BEEN BUSY WITH?
I have been busy with in-house jobs and all of our clients based in Monrovia:
WHAT HAS BEEN YOUR PERSONAL MOMENT OF PRIDE?
When I find myself on the field, learning new things every day. I felt very proud of myself working on one of our clients site (PUTU). One day, a gentle man entered the office and I was introduced by the CEO and COO as the IT man. And the fellow said ‘’what a young guy, a Liberian.’’ From that moment I decided to advance myself. I am so glad and thankful that I have started enrolling at an Indian University studying Network Engineering.
WHAT HAVE YOU LEARNED THIS YEAR?
Learning has been a day-to-day activity for me. I always have the confident in myself. Basically, things are been done repeatedly from one client to another which has helped me to perfect my skills and knowledge . Recently, I’ve also learned to run software as an administrator from a USB or external drive (MS Office 2013).
WHAT ARE YOU LOOKING FORWARD TO IN THE NEXT COUPLE OF MONTHS?
I am looking forward to more improvement in my skills so that NATC can have more trust and confident in sending me out of town and even out of country if necessary.
IS THE IT INDUSTRY IMPROVING IN LIBERIA?
I will say little by little it’s improving.
WHAT MORE CAN BE DONE?
More can be done by empowering more youth with scholarships who have the passion in learning Information Technology (IT) through the help of the Government and other private NGOs instead of relying on expatriates from abroad.
